"Finding Birds in Mexico" by Ernest P. Edwards, 1968 2nd Edition, hardcover, good condition (some tears on dust jacket) The author tells of the birds he has seen in his travels across Mexico.

"At a Bend in a Mexican River" by George Miksch Sutton, 1972 hardcover, missing dust jacket. Beautiful prints and interesting story of early birding in remote Mexican regions of the 1940s. "Collecting" birds is mentioned in this book but it was a different time and one can be happy about the strides we have made in today's birding.

"A Guide to the Birds of Venezuela" by Rodolphe Meyer de Schauensee and William H. Phelps, Jr. details nearly 1,300 species with 40 color plates along with 13 black & white plates. 1978 Edition softcover. This book is not in the best condition but at this price you could tear the plates out and use them as your bird guide when you get the chance to travel to Venezuela!

"Peterson Field Guides Birds of the West Indies" by James Bond. 1993 paperback with description of more than 400 bird species with black & white illustrations as well as color plates interspersed.

"A Bird Watcher's Guide to Mexico" by Margaret Wheeler. 1967 pamphlet in fair condition is packed with information and pictures of birds in Mexico.

"A Field Guide to Mexican Birds and Adjacent Central America" by Roger Tory Peterson and Edward L. Chalif, 1973 hardcover.

"The EcoTravellers' Wildlife Guide Costa Rica" by Les Beletsky, 1998 paperback. This handbook talks about natural history, ecology, and wildlife habitats. The readable, informative text along with photos and drawings will help the ecotourist to identify animals encountered on their visit.
