About the Item

Weathered Shelter is a continuation of a series of work that looks into the connection between architecture and humanity. Houses weather and can be shown as dominant or submissive. They can feel to us like home and also a remnant of what once was. This piece has a weathered and moss covered (albeit rust covered) roof line, with a still shining and protected interior. There too, is a connection between the large A-frame and the small. It can be a relationship or even seen as an overall form which is reminiscent of a reclining figure. Weathered Shelter is made of cast iron and faux gold leaf.

The piece measures 18" x 6" x 7.5"; it weights about 12 lbs; $$$.
