About the Item
These earrings are made of cold-rolled steel with 14k posts and locking clutches. They are painted with specialty auto paints. Both colors are chameleon and shift with movement. One of the chameleon paints was developed by Rachelle.

About the Artist
Rachelle Thiewes creates jewelry that is designed to engage and challenge the wearer, making them an active participant, an initiator of sounds and body rhythms. Light, movement, sound, order and chaos are integral elements of her work. Thiewes' art is in the permanent collections of many prestigious museums across the globe. Her work has been featured in numerous publications and she has received many accolades. She is the Metal Museum's 2023 Master Metalsmith. Thiewes is a Professor Emerita at the University of Texas El Paso.
