Escapism 2020 Documentary

Donate Now

Help us to forever destroy the stereotype of the struggling artist.
For eleven years, the Escapist Mentorship Program has been helping artists to thrive and not just survive.

Where do your donations go

By supporting Art Launch and this virtual gala, Escapist Artists receive these benefits (plus many more) from the program entirely for free:

Sales Strategy; Social Networking (Basic to Advanced); Art Pricing Determination; Press Release Basics; Marketing Techniques; Invoicing Skills; Instruction on effective collector correspondence; Hosting their own Solo Show; Confidence Coaching; Practice on collector outreach (phone, text, e-mail and e-blast) ; Art Commission Guidelines; Ideal lighting, hanging and stretching techniques; Paying Taxes 101;  Hosting a Virtual Exhibition; Client meetings via Zoom.

For an entire year, the Escapist Artists are given individual, first-class artist studios and show space in the Franklin Gallery. This allows instruction to be given to them inside the ultimate artist training center and ideal business environment for creative success. In 2020 when in-person meetings were not possible, the program mentors met via FaceTime and Zoom to coach the artists how to stay visible and generate sales in creative ways.

When considering the fair market value of their studio space, gallery location, materials, data, program marketing of their careers and the hundreds of hours of individual coaching they each receive, a conservative estimate for supporting an Escapist Artist is $35,000 per artist per year.
