His inspiration comes from decades of travel to Northern Minnesota and the Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. His distinct painting style captures imaginary woodland scenes that celebrate the natural world.
Uttech's work is found in many renowned museum collections, including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, AK; Philbrook Art Museum, Tulsa, OK; The Contemporary New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, LA; Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Madison, WI; Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson, AZ; and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
The artist's 40-acre farm and his converted barn-studio is located in Saukville, WI.
