Artist Bio:

I began my art education at the Brooklyn Museum, NYC and then at New York Phoenix School of Design. Later I graduated with a degree in Art Education from the State University of New York at New Paltz. (1967)

After teaching Art at the high school level I became credentialed as a Vocational Instructor enjoying the shop atmosphere and skills of the industrial arts. My last wonderful positions were as a machine shop instructor and as the industrial arts teacher of Coast Union High School in Cambria, California.

When I had my first and second grandsons, I started to craft toys. It became an obsession and I have continued to produce and show these in a variety of venues. There are now over ten types of vehicles that I created from just a photo, no blueprints necessary or available. I also make my own wheel to this 1 ½+ foot wooden structures. Other current work I have displayed are 2 D assemblages of wood shapes taken from the scraps left after the trucks are finished.

For me, Art is the constantly need to find something new to bring to any creative endeavor, even as it is being created.
