Situated on the southern shore of Lake Erie, Magee Marsh is a well-known bird stopover site during spring and fall migrations. Every year, birders and nature lovers travel to this incredible region to witness the spectacle of birds migrating through the area. At this year's Wild Night Out, win a birding trip for up to 4 people (including children at least 12 years old) to Ohio's Magee Marsh and vicinity. Your guides will be Pete Blank and his wife Erin Parker. Pete has a Ph.D. in Ecology (specializing in birds) and is a lifelong birder. Pete worked on the NOHLC stewardship crew in 2019 and is now the Oak Openings Restoration Manager for The Nature Conservancy. He is also a guide for the Black Swamp Bird Observatory's Biggest Week in American Birding. Erin is a passionate naturalist and environmental educator. She currently serves as the Field Conservation Officer and Nature Centers Manager at the Detroit Zoological Society. This weekend birding expedition to Magee Marsh and vicinity will take place during fall migration of 2021 (exact dates TBD). This auction item includes a three-day, two-night stay at a Lakeside, OH, cottage located a half-hour from Magee Marsh.

Contact Pete Blank for scheduling and more details. Information will be provided upon winning.
