Remy Martin Cognac ($36 value)

A fine, fine Champagne cognac from the house of Rémy Martin. Founded in 1724 by Rémy himself, the house only blends eaux-de-vie from the exceptional Grand Champagne and Petite Champagne regions, thus maximizing its ageing potential. It is reasoned that the centaur logo that emblazons each bottle was inspired by Rémy Martin as his star-sign was Sagittarius. Apparently, the Chinese for Rémy Martin translates literally as: man-headed horse. Yet Chiron has only been a symbol since 1870, long after Martin left us for the great oak barrel in the sky.
