This handwoven, one of a kind piece was created on a floor loom by Asheville based artist Lissa Merrill.

One of their ongoing projects is documenting the wild animals with whom they share their property. They use a motion activated Canon 5D Mark IV in an all-weather housing with several lights to snap these wonderful photographs of the wildlife in their own backyard.

This unique piece of fused glass titled "Hip to be Square" (10"x10") was created by Tryon glass artist Shelley Sperka.
The process of swoop fusing makes the piece slightly concave while the second drape fusing creates an exaggerated square shape.
This piece stands alone as a beautiful display and is also functional as a serving dish. Not recommended for microwave or dishwasher.
A librarian by trade, Shelley has been passionate about working with glass since attending her first class over 30 years ago. She continues to attend open studio at Tryon Arts and Crafts. Shelley also produces lamps, pendants and earrings in her home studio.
