WINEMAKER NOTES

Aromas are pure and focused showing violets, black cherry, baking cocoa and sage. Broad mouthfeel with wonderful richness and density. Flavors of dark chocolate, cherry and anise unfold and persist on the long sophisticated finish. This wine is a baby with great concentration and depth.

DETERT FAMILY VINEYARDS

In 1954 the Detert family purchased 50 acres of the To Kalon Vineyard from Martin Stelling's estate in Oakville. They renamed the property the "Detert Vineyard". They sold grapes to prominent wineries and in 2000 the great grandsons made their first commercial Detert vintage - 160 cases of Cabernet Franc.
