J. DANIEL CUVEE
J. Daniel Cuvée is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on extraordinary and distinct Napa Valley sites. This multi-vineyards cuvée is assembled over its 20 months of aging in barrels, during which we seek the greatest expression of harmony and balance from that vintage.
WINEMAKER
Trained and influenced by some of the most notable personalities in the wine business, Philippe Melka has devoted the past 19 years to winemaking in the Napa Valley - getting his start as a consultant with Lail Vineyards at its inception. Being recently named one of the top nine wine consultants in the world by Robert Parker underscores his truly remarkable gift in a career which has only just begun.
LAIL VINEYARDS
Lail Vineyards traces its Napa Valley roots back five generations to the founding of Inglenook Vineyards in 1879 by Robin Daniel Lail's great-granduncle, Gustav Niebaum. Inglenook was passed down to Robin's father, John Daniel, Jr., a Napa Valley legend and inductee in the Vintners Hall of Fame. Mr. Daniel created a legacy of excellence at Inglenook with his coveted Cabernets from 1933 to 1963. The winery's flagship wine, "J. Daniel Cuvee", is named in his honor.
The estimated fair market value is $4,700
