GRGICH HILLS ESTATE

Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first gained international recognition at the celebrated "Paris Tasting" of 1976 when his 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, was chosen as the finest white wine in the world. That moment laid the groundwork for the creation of Grgich Hills Cellar, established in 1977.

EXPERIENCE

Discover why they say "from our vineyard to your glass, naturally" as you and three (3) guests follow the path of the grape, from vineyard to crush pad to fermentation, with this private behind-the-scenes look at the winery, followed by a seated tasting of their current releases.

WINEMAKER

During his almost-three decades at Grgich Hills, winemaker Ivo Jeramaz has focused on working with the land. Through natural farming, the wines are able to be more authentic-more distinctive.

MILJENKO'S SELECTION

The Cabernet Sauvignon, Miljenko's Selection comes from Austins Vineyard, home to the winery in the heart of Rutherford. Its loamy soils and sunny, warm days create an elegant wine with red fruit flavors and smooth tannins.
