Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis / Size: 4" pot

This Chinese Trillium relative is a spectacular addition to the collector's shade garden. Reaching 40" tall, and known for having a spectacular growth rate, this plant is a choice ornamental for woodland gardens under deciduous trees. This particular variety of Paris polyphylla is native to Guizhou, Sichuan, Tibet, Yunnan, Assam, Myanmar and is extremely rare in cultivation. Prefering moist, damp, and shady places, it grows in lush monsoon forests, bamboo thickets, grassy or rocky slopes, and stream sides in its native range. The prominently veined leaves grow in elegant whorls, that subtend spider-like flowers with thread-like yellowish-green petals. Blooms in June-August produce scarlet berries in the fall. Hardy to Zone 6.
