Bupleurum angulosum / Size: 4" pot

This is an exquisite collection from the Cantabrian Mountains of Spain by famed plant hunters the late Jim Archibald and his wife, Jenny. A must-have for lovers of the unusual and aficionados of fashionable green and chartreuse flowers. Clumps of grey-green, lance-shaped foliage produce 15-20" tall branching stems, topped with clustered umbels of tiny yellow flowers surrounded by collar-like bracts of vivid green. Flowers are persistent and turn an attractive coppery-bronze as they age. As with most species from the Pyrenees and northwest Spain, this special plant should be hardy around Zones 6-9 but would prefer a bright, sunny location with moist but well-drained soil. If you happen to be looking for something unusual for your rock garden, this is the perfect addition!
