Iris halophila (Group of 5) / Size: 1 qt

Closely related to Iris spuria, this is a widespread species occurring from central Asia to as far west as Romania and as far east as China. They are some of the tallest and most elegant of iris, forming clumps of broad, sword-like leaves to over 4' in height with strong flower stems, holding multiple heads of large cream and lemon flowers. Will thrive in a moist and well drained garden soil but will tolerate a damper location. Rare in cultivation and totally magnificent, this tall and imposing iris is well suited for back of the border or pond edge. Hardy to Zone 5.
