Begonia muliensis / Size: 5" POT

Southern China is home a few species of so called 'hardy begonias'. These rhizomatous plants can actually survive outside in the wild climates of the Pacific Northwest where they make spectacular textural accents in shaded moist locations but for gardeners elsewhere they make attractive houseplants. This is a low growing species reaches around 12" high, with handsome darkly mottled green palmate leaves that display splotches of silver and purple. Bright pink flowers emerge in late summer. Hardy to Zone 8.
