Weigela japonica 'Dart's Colourdream' / Size: 4-5' tall, low #25 pot

This Japanese weigela variety is known for its fantastic color-changing blooms. The flowers appear which from May to June, are bell-shaped and come in shades of maroon, pink, and cream, and change as they mature. Amazingly, each spreading shrub has flowers of all three colors at the same time! Growing to about 6 feet in height and spread, it prefers a moist well drained soil in full sun to part shade. 'Dart's Colourdream' is a British introduction and not frequently available in the US. This specimen was propagated from a specimen in our own collection that came to us in the late 1980's from the National Arboretum in Washington D.C., which originally received their specimen from UK.
