Cornus florida 'Jean's Appalachian Snow' / Size: 1.75" trunk diameter, B&B root ball

Developed and introduced in recent years by the University of Tennessee's Dogwood Breeding Program. Known best for its impressive resistance to powdery mildew, a common dogwood pest, while displaying ornamental qualities of Cornus florida. A prolific bloomer with classic showy white dogwood floral bracts that appear in mid-spring. Deep-green foliage turns a vibrant red in fall, complemented by red fruit. Hardy to Zone 5, this lovely small tree reaches 20' tall and wide. Plant in full sun to part shade for best floral, fruit, and fall color display. Grown organically by the first field-grown tree nursery given Organic Certification by the USDA. The Appalachian series of flowering dogwoods are good performers at NYBG - we have the full collection in the Azalea Garden!

Tree delivery fees ranges from $350 - 600. See map. Please select your zone at checkout under "Large Plant Delivery." Your entire order is included in this fee.
