Cercis canadensis 'Hearts of Gold' / Size: 2.5" trunk diameter, B&B root ball

Cercis canadensis is a small multi-stemmed tree native to the eastern and central United States, noted for its bright pink-red early spring flowers and lovely heart-shaped leaves. 'Hearts of Gold' is a redbud selection distinguished by its intense golden-yellow spring foliage that turn chartreuse with age. Emerging leaves are orange-red, and pea-like flowers are rose-purple, offering quite a color show throughout the season. Hardy to Zone 5, 'Hearts of Gold' typically grows to 15' tall and equally as wide. For the brightest spring leaf color, this low-maintenance plant does best in full sun with well-drained soil. As with all eastern redbuds, the pea-like flowers of 'Hearts of Gold' are edible and make great salad toppers - tasty and pretty!

Tree delivery fees ranges from $350 - 600. See map. Please select your zone at checkout under "Large Plant Delivery." Your entire order is included in this fee.
