Center Stage at Ruth Page 2020 has been CANCELLED
In accordance with announcements and recommendations regarding COVID-19 from the city, state, and national administrations, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Center Stage at Ruth Page. This annual celebration of our founder Ruth Page, the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, and its Artists In-Residence is a highlight of our production year, and it saddens all of us at The Center.
Though it could never replace the live showcase of talent and artistry that Center Stage at Ruth Page always promises, we invite you to view the below slideshow for a glimpse at the wonderful work of all organizations who would have presented at the event.
About the Event
Please join us for an amazing performance of dance and theater, featuring the Artists In-Residence of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts!
This year, March 22 marks the 121st birthday of international dance icon and Ruth Page Center founder, Ruth Page (1899-1991). In honor of her birthday, Center Stage at Ruth Page will feature performances by the artists who call the Ruth Page Center for the Arts home. This includes the 2020 Artists In-Residence: Concert Dance, Inc., DanceWorks Chicago, Hedwig Dances, Porchlight Music Theatre, Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company; as well as the talented artists from Congo Square Theatre and The Ruth Page School of Dance.
Doors open at 4:00 PM and the evening begins with birthday treats and a toast to Ruth Page, followed at 5:00 with a performance by the Artists In-Residence.
This is the only time each year that an audience may experience the depth and breadth of the talent of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts' Artists In-Residence. It's a night you don't want to miss!
Space is limited. Reservations in advance are required.
For more information about each Artist In-Residence, please visit www.ruthpage.org/artists-in-residence
General Admission Tickets: $10
Are you a teen (or know a teen) who would like to attend the performance? Join Teen Arts Pass and you can attend for only $5! Sign up here: teenartspass.urbangateways.org
We appreciate any and all donations as they will help the Ruth Page Center for the Arts continue to subsidize programming for our Artists In-Residence.
