Probably our most exciting, new procedure in the office, microneedling is here! Our team can't get enough of this minimal downtime collagen-boosting treatment. I've been known to steal it for the weekend. Microneedling is an innovative way to treat fine lines, deep wrinkles, photodamage, acne scars, and improve the overall skin's appearance-it even helps stretch marks.

We use the Eclipse MicroPen, the industry leader, to create thousands of precise microinjuries in the skin (literally microscopic holes-how exciting!). This leads to the release of growth factors, which stimulate new healthy collagen, and directs new blood flow to the treated skin. The result is a softer, brighter, younger looking complexion. It also allows the penetration of products into the skin. We can even do a chemical peel or apply lightening agents directly to the skin immediately post-procedure-or for even greater promotion of collagen production, try microneedling in conjunction with PRP-platelet-rich plasma therapy!

Microneedling is perfect for someone who may not have a lot of downtime and is struggling with acne scars or just wants to improve the overall skin's appearance. It is a great maintenance procedure. We are also seeing amazing results with those pesky fine lines around the mouth and eyes (crow's feet). Remember, skin rejuvenation takes time, and you will continue to see the results in the weeks and months to come, but you will notice an immediate "glow" following microneedling.

PRE-/POST-CARE: Microneedling Treatment Instructions
DOWNTIME: Minimal. Redness will occur in the treatment area and usually lasts 1-2 days. Depth of treatment is dictated by what condition we are treating-acne scars and deep wrinkles may experience more downtime.
PROCEDURE TIME: Microneedling takes about 15-30 minutes depending on which areas are treated. We generally apply numbing cream prior to minimize any discomfort.

MAINTENANCE: We recommend a series of 3-4, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
