2 Watchers

This elephant was hand-carved by Kenyan native Florence Falo with 80 recycled flip flops, taking 2 days to make. These flip flops were in the ocean and washed up on the beaches of Kenya. Locals collect, clean, and cut all discarded flip-flops from their shores to protect the environment and create vibrant and colorful "one-of-a-kind" products.

By creating these masterpieces, they are not only creating employment for a country that has a 40% unemployment rate, but also sending a message about how to help our planet, oceans and people, through creating beautiful art that portrays an important message about the state of our oceans.

21" in length, 7" in width, and 14" in height.
