Barbara Cargill, Director of Wonders of the Woodlands Science Camp and member of the Texas State Board of Education, will donate a 45 minute AWESOME ANIMALS book reading and live animal presentation to your child's class. After
Mrs. Cargill reads an age-level appropriate book to one class, your child will be the featured "Assistant Naturalist" and will help her show 4-5 animals. Your child will receive a copy of the book that was read, "Our Shadow Garden" by Woodlands resident Cherie Colburn.

Mrs. Cargill holds a Master of Science in Science Education degree and has been a science educator for over 30 years. She has been honored with many science teaching awards for her creative approach to teaching science. She loves to work with children and nurture their love for animals and nature!

Check out the WOW! Science Camp animals (as well as other information about our programs like the summer science camp) on our web site. Some of the animals are shown in the Animal Gallery.

The science presentation will include touching the animals, discussing their characteristics, and learning how to care for them the right way. Possible animals that will visit your child's classroom include baby turtles, Kenyan Sand Boa, Great Plains Rat Snake, Tiger Salamander, Bearded Dragon, Leopard Gecko, Madagascar hissing cockroach, a rabbit, pink-toed tarantula, desert millipedes, or a White's tree frog. Your child can help choose their favorites.

This is the perfect gift for any aspiring science or nature lover. It may be done as a gift to your child or to your child's teacher!

** Classroom presentations are limited to The Woodlands or its immediate surrounding areas
only. The presentation must be done within a year of the auction. The presentation may have to
be scheduled for the next school year. April and May dates go very fast so thanks for your
understanding.
