Women in Kansas City have a long a distinguished history of making our community a better place for everyone. Learn about some of the prominent women leaders of the late 1800s and early 1900s whose names and contributions are little known today. On this three-hour tour of four Kansas City cemeteries, these women's lives and accomplishments will be highlighted. The tour ends with lunch and conversation at Taqueria Mexico II. The tour can accommodate up to six people and will take place on a Saturday morning or afternoon by mutual agreement.

This item includes a copy of the 2018 book, Benevolence, Moral Reform, and Equality: Women's Activism in Kansas City, 1870-1940, by David Hanzlick, PhD, Director of Program and Development at Sheffield Place.
