2 Watchers

The lucky winner of these two Locally Made wines, will receive one Pinot Nior and one Chardonnay from Catalina View Gardens.

2018 PINOT NOIR
PALOS VERDES PENINSULA

This wine was fermented in small open top fermenters and then aged 9 months in French oak barrels. It expresses aromatics and flavors of red and black cherries, vanilla bean, and delicate crimini mushrooms - all highlighted by beautiful hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

The grapes were all grown on a south facing slope that is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The well-drained soil, cooler temperatures, and coastal breezes make it a wonderful location for growing Pinot Noir grapes.

2018 CHARDONNAY
PALOS VERDES PENINSULA

This wine was fermented in stainless steel and aged 9 months in French oak barrels. This results in a harmonious balance of fresh green apple, pear and citrus blossoms with a hint of minerality. The grapes were all grown on a south facing slope that is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The well-drained soil, cooler temperatures, and coastal breezes make it a wonderful location for growing Chardonnay grapes.

The label features a water color painting by Katrina Vanderlip whose grandfather was the founder of the Palos Verdes Peninsula
