Artist: Holly Armstrong

Medium: Pencil on Canvas

Dimensions: 8" x 10"

Framed

Animal Depicted is True and his story is below:

True came to us as a puppy, and he was paralyzed in his back end due to trauma. Although we don't know exactly what happened, we think he was intentionally abused by humans. We were unsure if he'd walk again or have control over his bladder/bowels, but we knew we had to give it a shot - this amazing, sweet boy deserved a second chance at a life of love and happiness. One of our vet techs, Kristin, took him to foster so he could continue any necessary medical treatment. To our surprise, with a lot of love and a lot of rest - True fully recovered! Not only could he walk, he could run - and was a normal, happy puppy. He found the most amazing forever home, with a Stray Rescue Alumni fur-sibling! We know True didn't have the best start to his life, and we're glad he found his way to Stray Rescue instead of another shelter where he may have been euthanized due to his condition and the uncertainty of future issues. He will have the best life from here on out though!

His foster mom, Kristin, wrote:

"My baby boy is leaving me tomorrow. Being his foster home for the last month and a half has been one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. I fell entirely in love with this sweet boy the second I laid my eyes on his perfect face. He came to us basically paralyzed and he would eliminate all over himself & be so embarrassed that he'd rub his nose raw trying to cover up all of his accidents. Since then I've watched him turn into a crazy running machine. I've never met a dog who loves to snuggle as much as him and I will miss his cuddles and his kisses so much. This dog deserves the world and I'm so happy that I was his first "real" home."

Status: Adopted!
