Animal Depicted is Ziggy Stardust and his rescue story is below:

An entire complex of apartments had been abandoned and boarded up. How this boy found his way into one of the units we will never know. A white dog, with grey spots and big ears that stuck straight up was spotted with his head sticking out the second story window. The lower window to that unit was busted out, but unless someone intentionally put him in there, he would not have been able to get in himself. And for some reason he was too scared to come down the carpeted steps. I climbed in through the first story window and made my way up the steps. There he was, standing on an old mattress, looking out the window. He turned and was just standing on that mattress looking at me. His ribs were very visible, which is why he was very interested the Vienna Sausages. He let me leash him up and down the steps we went. He wasn't letting me lift him through the window, so we had to keep pushing at the front door until the screw that held it closed finally broke free. While his body has been healed and he has put on much needed weight. Unfortunately, this boy has been scarred by his experience, but he will get the attention he needs from Stray Rescue staff and trainers to work to rehabilitate and heal his emotional wounds. We know this boy has so much love to give and that he deserves a better life than he had before.
