Title: "Hop"

Artist: Robert O'Neil

Medium: Acrylic on canvas

Dimensions: 24"x24"

Animal Depicted is Hop and his rescue story is below:

Donna got a call about three puppies hanging out in East St. Louis, living under the porch of an abandoned house. By the time Donna arrived, neighbors (who we believe to have had the mom) had taken in the third puppy. But Donna was able to set a trap, and we were thrilled when the two puppies went in the trap together, we didn't want to have to leave one behind if only one went in the trap. Hop and Scotch had little to no contact with humans since they were born 12-14 weeks before, so they were shy and fearful of humans. Once safe in our care they went to separate foster homes with other social dogs to help them learn and understand what it means to be a companion animal! Both fosters were familiar with socializing shy/feral dogs, so they quickly gained confidence and learned to trust humans. Scotch's foster mom ended up adopting her and she is very loved and spoiled! Hop was adopted into a loving forever home, and his family soon ended up adopting another Stray Rescue dog, named True, and they are inseparable! We also eventually ended up rescuing the third puppy and their mom and they are loving life! We love happy endings!

Status: Adopted!
