Animal Depicted is Newt, and here is his story:

Newt was an owner surrender to Stray Rescue, which we don't typically take unless it is a severe medical case. The people had him as a puppy but when they noticed his birth defect in his front legs they could not afford to do anything about it, so they didn't want him. But he has NEVER let his birth defect slow him down! Stray Rescue did check in with a specialist about trying to fix his legs, but the specialist did not recommend it. He said it is rare and they have not treated enough cases successfully to guarantee they could correct the issues and he would have to go months with no activity and even then it was less than a 50% chance that it would work. So we decided against the surgery because he's a happy boy! He runs and plays tug o' war with his sister and just gets to be a puppy. He loves his toys and nylabones, and will live a life of happiness and love!
