Animal Depicted is Honey Biscuit and her story is below:

Honey Biscuit came to us when a man called saying a pregnant dog has been hanging out in his yard. His dogs were chained up to doghouses, but they liked this stray female. The temperatures were in single digits, and this mama looked like she was ready to pop. She quickly ditched us when we tried to follow her. We searched so many abandoned houses that day, all the way until dark. The next morning we went to go see if we could find her. It was snowing hard and freezing cold. We couldn't believe it - we found her in one of the male's doghouses, giving birth! She was shaking, both from fear and cold. She was very young herself, so this was probably her first litter of puppies. We're grateful to the male dogs for sharing their doghouse with her to give her a safe place to have them. Once her puppies were weaned, we started teaching her how to walk on a leash, what a toy is, and that life can be fun! Soon she had a bunch of friends at the shelter and loved to wrestle, run, and play! She finally got her chance to go to a loving foster home and now she has a patient foster mom, human siblings and doggy siblings to help her become a dog!
