Title: "Rhett"
Artist: Kathy Morrison
Medium: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 9"x12"
Animal Depicted is Rhett, and here's his story:
Rhett was rescued as a puppy. When a breeder/hoarder was shut down because of the extremely terrible conditions, dozens of animals needed medical treatment and help finding new homes. Stray Rescue was happy to step in and help - we transported as many animals as we could fit in the van! Rhett, a pure bred St. Bernard and three other adult St. Bernards - two of them his parents - were brought to safety with Stray Rescue. These dogs had skin conditions that needed treated and were under-socialized. But once they were in loving foster homes, they began to heal physically and emotionally. Rhett, the little puppy was covered urine and feces when we rescued him - our Executive Director, Cassady Caldwell, took him home that night - bathed him, snuggled him and he never left her home! Instead of a life in awful conditions, used only for breeding, now he's spoiled rotten with his very own couch and attends Doggy Daycare and training weekly where he is a star pupil, when he's not sleeping!
Status: Adopted!
