What is math and how is your relationship with it? In this 1.5 hour sit down with the Chair of Sequoyah High School's Math Department, you will explore your interests and questions about the world as a starting point for talking about math. When you engage in mathematical thinking, you get in touch with a part of yourself that is creative, logical and artistic all at the same time. Too many of us have had experiences with math that gives us false ideas about what math is and how capable we are at doing it. In this chat, we will begin to recuperate and restore our mathematical selves as we follow the line of thinking that originated in ancient history: an exploration of "number" as the eternal essence underlying musical harmony, social harmony, the soul and cosmos.
