Sequoyah parent, Brian Wills' art adopts a meticulous approach that is illustrated by the painted and varnished wooden panels that are crisscrossed by spoke-like motifs of colorful threads. These threads, which either accept or reject light, form a mosaic of attraction and repulsion: a satin-finished exterior and a bright and shiny interior where the colors are gradually revealed as the viewer moved forwards or backwards. Brian Wills is fond of this artifice, this fiction that means his art works change continually, allowing him to explore line and color, depth and movement. They vibrate, defying space and light and obliging the viewer to establish a physically intimate contact with the canvas in a controlled chaos that favors a perpetual, radical and dramatic aesthetic effect.

"Always existing within abstraction, my work explores line and color, depth and motion. Some of the paintings are minimal in nature, while others are a bit obsessive. I like the work to have a nod to craftsmanship and call to mind the ways in which they were constructed."

Mark Ryden and Merry Karnowsky released this limited edition lithographic poster in honor of the Art For Hope exhibition at Merry Karnowsky gallery October 1, 2008. The lithograph is printed on heavy weight paper, signed and numbered, and is embossed with the Porterhouse seal in the lower right hand corner. This poster comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Born in L.A. in 1978, Tristan Eaton started pursuing street art as a teenager, painting everything from billboards to dumpsters in the urban landscapes of the cities where he lived, be it London, Detroit, or New York. He designed his first toy for Fisher-Price at 18 years old and soon became a driving force in the world of designer toys. Eaton's work for Kidrobot, including the famous Dunny and Munny art toys, helped him achieve international renown and an ever-growing fan base. After forming his Creative Agency Thunderdog Studios in New York City in 2004, Eaton became a leader in the advertising and commercial-art spheres, and is regularly commissioned by a roster of clients that includes Nike, Versace, and even Barack Obama.

These days, Eaton is one of the most prominent street artists working today. Eaton's large scale mural work features a meticulous, visual collage of pop imagery mixed with his unique personal style, all executed with freehand spray paint on a colossal scale. Eaton now focuses on his Fine Art and large-scale mural work full-time, which can be found in dozens of cities across the globe from Paris to Shanghai.

Eaton's work can also be seen in the Museum of Modern Art's (MoMA) permanent collection.

2018 Sauvignon Blanc Grassini Family Vineyard Grassini is a stalwart in our portfolio and one of the true stars of Happy Canyon. The 2018 follows admirably, the 2017 version of this wine, which received a whopping 96 points from Jeb Dunnuck, who wrote: "Ripe, rounded, and brilliantly textured, with a rocking finish, it's up with some of the finest Sauvignon Blancs coming from California today. I'd happily include this in a blind tasting with a great vintage of Haut Brion Blanc ($900/btl)."

2017 Chardonnay Rita's Crown Vineyard Rita's Crown is a spectacular vineyard located at one of the highest points in the Sta. Rita Hills, adjacent to such famous sites as Mt Carmel and Sea Smoke. The soils are a mix of sandy and clay loams with a good amount of diatomaceous earth, lending the wine incredible fruit intensity and energetic acidity.

2018 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard The magical Duvarita Vineyard, just west of the Santa Rita Hills appellation, lies on south-facing slopes of almost pure sand. The grapes here are farmed biodynamically by the friendly, dedicated, obsessive Brook Williams.

Over 20 years ago two young aspiring winemakers met, each bringing a vision and a drive to produce world-class wine. Focusing on the Burgundian roots of pinot noir and chardonnay, they paid homage to France. They were keen on making their own footprint and forging a style that was uniquely Californian. The wines embrace the power, pedigree and richness of the Sta. Rita Hills; an exceptional winegrowing region, unlike any other in the world. The unique transverse valleys funnel maritime influences through a small appellation replete with variations in soil, aspect and micro-climates to produce a patchwork of sites of character and distinction. One of the coolest climates on the west coast, Sta. Rita Hills also enjoys the longest growing season, making this a veritable paradise for pinot noir and chardonnay. The quality of the vineyards and grapes grown here is rivaled only by the absolute beauty of the region itself.

In this chat, we will begin to recuperate and restore our mathematical selves as we follow the line of thinking that originated in ancient history: an exploration of "number" as the eternal essence underlying musical harmony, social harmony, the soul and cosmos.

Get a feel for the taste and craft of French cuisine with Backyard teacher, Christophe Boullonnois. For two to three hours, participants will learn how to prepare and properly clean up a three-course French inspired meal. Possible delicacies include boeuf cocotte, ratatouille, savory tarts, croque monsieur, strawberry Millefeuille, lemon pie... Specific menu to be arranged prior to session. Students will get a cookbook to experience French cuisine on their own. Buyer responsible for paying for cooking ingredients.

Join Leila Gonzalez, Sequoyah Science teacher, for a 12 week, one on one meditation practice that has the power to improve the rest of your life. If you commit to the practices in this class you will learn tools that will help you to increase your awareness of your thoughts and how they either empower you to create the life of your choosing or keep you from that. You will also increase your awareness of how much control you have over your thoughts. This class will introduce you to cutting edge neuroscience that shows that at least six weeks of meditation practice can actually change brain function. It includes an online Learning System with 12 weeks of teachings, meditations and daily action plans. The mind is a powerful tool and it can be our greatest ally in life or our greatest adversary. With proper guidance training and practice you can increase your power to direct the mind and direct it to create the life of your choosing.

Leila is passionate about bringing these teachings to her classroom to raise the consciousness of her students. She was born in Havana, Cuba and immigrated to the US as a child. She received her PhD in biology from Harvard university and performed scientific research on how the brain develops at the California Institute of Technology She has found these teachings to be extremely consistent with her knowledge of brain development from her years of research. She has used these simple yet powerful tools to transform her own life and is eager to share her experiences.

Brian Eagen, our knowledgeable Director of Field Studies, will plan a 3 to 5 day trip for you and your family. You will have a call to start so Brian can get an idea of what you're looking for and if you have any ideas of where you'd like to go. Then he'll put together an itinerary including activities, camping/lodging options, and maybe some local food spots. Brian has travelled to all 50 states, most of the national parks, and throughout the Pacific Coast and southwest, so he'll have the most insight about those areas." He will leave any booking up to you, but can give some helpful tips you're are trying to get a harder spot. Just think of all of the hours of planning and research you'll save!

Learn how to partner dance with your spouse or with a friend! As an avid competitive swing dancer and teacher, spend 2 hours with David Cutler-Kreutz learning the basics of partner dancing or diving deep into West Coast Swing. Must need an open space where we can dance (kitchens are completely acceptable!).
