This basket would be a treat for a wine lover. Nickel & Nickel Winery is a Californian wine producer, established in 1997 and situated in Oakville Napa Valley region. The winery was opened to the public in 2003, with cutting-edge facilities located within an 1880's farmstead.

Included is:

  • One bottle Nickel & Nickel Winery "Tench Vineyard" 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon with a wine critic rating of 95 on the 100 point scale. This indicates a benchmark example or classic; a great wine. The wine is described as opaque ruby in color with notes of black fruit, blueberry, vanilla, and spice on the nose. Some reviewers have also mentioned caramel, woods on the nose and taste with cherries, vanilla and nutmeg. We think this just sounds amazing.
  • One bottle Nickel & Nickel Winery "Regusci Vineyard" 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon. This vineyard is located on the dry Vaca Mountains on the east side of Napa Valley and dominated by the jagged peaks of the Stags Leap Pinnacles, the Stags Leap District vinicultural area looks better suited to cactus than vineyards. Yet, wines from the district were directly responsible for putting Napa Valley on the roster of the world's best winegrowing regions. This Cab rates a 92 on the 100 point scale and is considered a wine that is rated as superior to exceptional; with black cherry, plum, a little vanilla and a touch of cedar. Sounds like an enjoyable wine!
