This Lotus and Rabbit Incense Burner is a beautiful replica of a traditional Korean Celadon Incense Burner Openwork Seven Auspicious Design from the 12th century (as seen in the National Museum of Korea in Seoul)
The Incense Burner is made in the style of the Goryeo Era (918 - 1392). Celadon pottery of this golden age was widely praised for its translucent jade-colored glaze, unique inlaid designs, and new inlay techniques.
This Incense Burner consists of three main parts: the openwork lid, where smoke drifts through; the lotus-shaped body, where the incense burns; and the round base.
