From Broken A Ranch comes a genetic offering that observers of the breed in recent years will want to consider. OB Miss Olivia 214/14 was the IRBBA Scholarship Donation heifer and was won by junior cattleman, Jesse Mason of Justin, Texas. Donated to the scholarship fund by Marcos Borges and OB Ranch, she was Red Bull daughter that exemplified what made Red Bull a legendary sire. She was a moderate, highly capacious, cleanly designed individual with strong maternal traits. Upon winning the heifer, Jesse and his father Travis donated a flush back to the IRBBA Memorial Scholarship Foundation. This was purchased by Damon Acord or Broken A Ranch.
Olivia 214/14 has produced two outstanding progeny that gained admirers and accolades. For Jesse she produced 5M Double Barrel 214D, sired by TRIO's Aristotle 175A. Jesse and Double Barrel were formidable competitors for three years consistently winning divisions and receiving the Grand Champion nod. Double Barrel was Grand Champion at the 2019 Fort Worth Open Brangus Show, 2018 and 2017 National Show of Merit Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion at the 2017 and 2018 Brangus Futurity. With an eye to the quality Olivia is capable of producing, 5M Farms flushed her to TRIO's Yucatan 175Y to produce 5M Miss Olivia 214F2 that was the Grand Champion Female at the 2019 Western National for Kayce Lopez of Justin.
