The Culinary Vanguard

Melanie Dunea is an award-winning American photographer and author, best known for the book series My Last Supper as well as her revealing portraits of some of the world's most celebrated artists, chefs, politicians, and intellectuals.

We commissioned Melanie to create this unique collection of portraits of three leading chefs, who challenged the established norms of cooking, dining, and thinking about food, and whose immense talent and vision plays an undeniable influence on our food culture.

David Chang, chef/founder of Momofuku Group, a global brand with restaurants, products, a media portfolio, and a creative force behind Emmy-winning Netflix shows such as Ugly Delicious and Mind of a Chef. To think it all started with a noodle shop in Manhattan's East Village!

Dominique Crenn, chef/co-owner of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco and the first and only female chef to hold 3 Michelin Stars in the US. She envisions her restaurant as workshop where inspiration, heritage, craft, and community converge in an ode to her poetic culinaria.

Kwame Onwuachi, his Afro/Caribbean cooking got global attention at Kith/Kin in Washington, DC. And accolades poured in: James Beard Rising Star, Forbes 30 Under 30, Food and Wine Best New Chef. His Notes From a Young Black Chef memoir is being turned into a feature film.

• Each signed, open edition print includes Certificate of Authenticity.
• Printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta Paper, each image will be printed and framed. The frame can be black or white and will have a 2 inch white Matt opening with plexiglass. Maximum one month lead time for printing, framing and delivery.
