2019 Conversationalist JOSE LOZANO,, co-chair of Governor Murphy's Restart and Recover Advisory Council is looking forward to a virtual lunch with the winning bidder. In the midst of the most dramatic pandemic in over a century, a team of prominent New Jersians had to look into the future and balance public safety, the economy, public opinion and other pressures and form a plan to emerge safely from the shut down. Bio-

Jose Lozano is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Choose New Jersey, Inc., an independently funded and operated 501(c)(3) whose mission is to encourage and nurture economic growth throughout New Jersey with a focus on urban centers.

Previously, Mr. Lozano served for five years as Chief of Staff and Vice President for Corporate Services and Governance at Hackensack Meridian Health. Mr. Lozano has an extensive background in government, most recently leading Governor Murphy's Transition team as Executive Director. Prior to that, he was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff and homeland security advisor at the U.S. EPA under the Obama Administration. Mr. Lozano also acted as Director for External Affairs within the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness for nearly two years. Mr. Lozano began his political career with Governor Jon S. Corzine as Policy Advisor and eventually serving as Director of Operations.

Mr. Lozano earned a Bachelor of Arts from Stockton University and a Master's degree from the University of Maryland - College Park. He is an active board member of NJ Future.

In his free time, Mr. Lozano enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Mandy and two daughters, Brooke and Alexa.
