21.5" x 25.5" monotype print and collage framed

A depiction of a garden of swirling tulips on a windy day was laid out on plexiglass with the flowers collaged on top before being transferred to printmaking paper and framed.

Alice Harrison was born in New York City and resides in Morristown. Working in layers, technically, intellectually and spiritually, Alice creates images and sensations of color, harmony and joy. Combining things with a former life with new materials has been a wonderful challenge. In each piece of work there can be a range of media from just one to a combination of mediums. Inspiration comes from the inside-based on her personal distillation of the external world.

Alice's work has been exhibited widely in galleries and universities throughout the United States and has been shown in Europe, Mexico, South Africa, Israel, Dubai and New Zealand. Her paintings are found in private, public and corporate collections. She has received several Geraldine R. Dodge grants as well as a grant from Soaring Gardens in Pennsylvania. Listed in Who's Who in American Art and in Outstanding Arts and Designers of the 20th Century, published in England, Alice co-authored and published Artists' Guidebook to a New Creative Life. She is one of 40 artists featured in the book Masters: Collage, Major Works by Leading Artists published by Lark Books.
