18" Round Paper, Acrylic on Wood

The saola, also called siola, Vu Quang ox, spindlehorn, Asian unicorn, or, infrequently, the Vu Quang bovid, is one of the world's rarest large mammals, a forest-dwelling bovine found only in the Annamite Range of Vietnam and Laos.

Luz finds art to be a "divine spark". Her style is based on common life, work and the search for the wonders and mysteries in nature and daily life. It is a series that is continuous in process and deeply intimate. In her continuous interrogation, you will find light that manifests in color, the technique called ChromaDepth.

She studied Fine Arts at the Guerrero Academy of Arts in Bogotá, Colombia. After finishing her basic education and training, she found a refuge of inspiration in the mountains outside the city, as well as a clearer and broader vision of her future as a person and artist.
