Scotch whisky is in its golden era, with the popularity of single malts soaring to historic levels around the world, but Scotland's official beverage is also widely misunderstood, especially for fans of the equally-booming Bourbon craze. In a fun, relaxed, super informative and entertaining presentation by a self-described "Scotch nerd", learn about what Scotch whisky actually is, how its made, the differences between single malts, blends, and other whiskies, and - most importantly - how to drink and fully appreciate "uisge beatha" - the Water of Life.

This presentation takes you on a tour of Scotland and the 5 (or 6, depending on who you ask) geographical whisky-producing regions with sample drams from each region providing lubricant for fun, conversation, and whisky education. Think all Scotch is smoky and intense? Think again. Do you assume that the "burn" of Scotch is the same for all whiskies? Prepare to have you mind (and palate) blown.

Sample Drams to be enjoyed include signature expressions from a selection of the following distilleries:

The evening will be hosted at the Inman Park home of Board Chair-Elect, Charlie Henn, on a mutually agreeable date.
