Visit beautiful Marco Island, Florida at the peak of bird watching season! Enjoy a week-long stay on this sunny Florida Gulf Coast island near Naples in a well appointed two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with balcony right on the beach.

Guests will also recieve a guided bird walk in one of THE Best birding sites in Florida!! Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

Marco Island is also considered one of the top U.S. destinations for shell collecting. Walk the surf and collect shells of the most amazing shapes, sizes and colors brought north by currents flowing all the way from the Caribbean. Kayaking, jet-skiing, and fishing are also popular activities on the island.

Adjacent Tigertail Beach and nearby Sand Dollar Island are considered some of Florida's most important sanctuaries for shore birds and are included in the Great Florida Birding Trail. Search for least tern, black skimmer, piping plover, anhinga, burring owls, roseate spoonbills, and hundreds of other species that live in or visit this region.

When you're not birding, enjoy the many amenities on the property: pools, tennis, pickle ball, secure parking, boat slips (extra charge), tiki huts for outdoor picnics, and gas grills.

Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary occupies approximately 13,000 acres in the heart of the Corkscrew Watershed as part of the Western Everglades. It has the largest remaining virgin bald cypress forest in the world (~ 700 acres), which is the site of the largest nesting colony of Federally Endangered Wood Storks in the nation. Corkscrew also provides important habitat for numerous other Federal and State listed species, including the Florida Panther, American Alligator, Gopher Tortoise, Florida Sandhill Crane, Limpkin, Roseate Spoonbill, Snowy Egret, Tricolored Heron, White Ibis, Big Cypress Fox Squirrel and the FL Black Bear. Several rare plants are also found here, most notably the Ghost Orchid.
