HOWARD LATHROP
Howard Lathrop, AIA, NCARB, is a principal at Sellars Lathrop Architects, llc . Mr Lathrop received a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas A&M University and for many years was the Senior Design Associate at Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates. While a faculty member at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in Los Angeles, Mr. Lathrop also worked with the office of Charles and Ray Eames and was Design Principal of Howard Lathrop and Associates.
He has been the Senior Designer and Project Architect on a variety of building types located around the world, including the design and restoration of major metropolitan museums, Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, Institutional headquarters and schools, non-profit workplaces, and single family residential.
On a more local level, Mr. Lathrop has been involved as a volunteer Chair of the Westport School Building Committee and was twice elected to the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission. He was also involved in the 2007 Town Plan of Development and Conservation and has worked to increase the vitality of Westport's Town Center and beyond, with the new MoCA Westport opening as evidence of his ongoing commitment.
