Restaurants in America. It's approach to
wine has been described as "daring...

The talk is lead by one of our accredited
sommeliers or managing partner James
Mallios (a former stand up comedian)
who was described by Decanted as
"about a hundred miles from the
stereotypical sommelier. He's bald,
brash, and tough-a sort of Greek
version of Tony Soprano who looks more
likely to kneecap you than pour you a
glass of natural wine".
We have presented this talk as part of
team building exercises at the New York
Times and multiple Fortune 500
companies.

Description: Amali sommeliers will lead a 20 minute tasting and discussion of different types of rose from around the
Mediterranean and share insider knowledge on how to pick a great rose for your next dinner party or night out. The talk
will take place in one of Amali's private rooms and include a a selection of mediterranean dips and charcuterie.
Rose will pour freely for a 1.5 hours and the class is good for 8-10 people.
Time & Location: Start time generally between 5:30 and 6:30. Preferred days are Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and
Sundays. 115 East 60th Street, NY NY 10022.
Value Calculation: The minimum price of a private room, owner/sommelier/chef's time, value of food and wine for
tasting.
Blackout Dates: November 25 - January 1, Holidays/Holiday Weekends, most Tuesdays-Thursdays except in July,
August and January.
Timing and reservations subject to a la carte and private dining reservations. Gift certificate is not transferable to dining
credit and is exclusive of gratuity which is suggested.
Amali reserves the right to reschedule the event up to 24 hours before the event. We endeavor to schedule wine tasting
gift certificates on days when this is least likely to occur to avoid this possible situation from the outset of scheduling.
If you decide to stay for dinner, we request that the party orders additional appetizers/entrees "for the table" and whatever
wine is open at the time the tasting is completed will be "carried over" to your dinner and additional beverages, food, etc.
will be charged at normal a la carte prices. We do ask to start the tasting within approximately 15 minutes of the
scheduled start time.
