In this Uniquely UNIS and priceless experience, 10 students will explore the studio and learn about how COOKFOX is designing buildings that support mental and physical well-being, and are environmentally sustainable. Visitors will spend time with the firm's gardener, learning about the edible plants the grow on their terraces and how they produce healthy food in the middle of Manhattan. The group will visit our two apiaries, and learn about the many varieties of wildflowers, grasses, shrubs and trees that make our roof-top ecosystem thrive. Students will learn about how architects create and use biomimetic patterns, integrate technology to make buildings healthier and more efficient, and how designers can be advocates for people and the planet.
