1 hour outdoor photo session that can be headshots, family portraits, or something funny or overly conceptual that you've always wanted to do, but never known a crazy enough photographer willing to try it (preferably nothing against the law, but there's always room for compromise).

From this session you will receive up to 5 hi-res retouched photos. You will also get 20-30 additional lo-res and unretouched photos. All images will be provided as digital jpegs. 1 copy of the special edition of Funny Business with hand-printed case

ABOUT SETH OLENICK I am a Greenpoint, Brooklyn-based photographer with roots in the NYC punk rock scene of the mid to late 90s. Years later I turned my focus toward the comedy world in NYC and LA, compiling the collection of portraits that comprise the book Funny Business. Shot over the course of 6 1/2 years, the collection includes actors, stand ups, writers, directors and more from the new golden age of comedy, most of whom have gotten their own tv shows on Comedy Central, HBO, IFC and more in the subsequent years. The book is also unique in that it is the only photo book that has an accompanying audio version available on all streaming services which features the smooth-as-butter voice of musician/comedian Dave Hill. My work has also appeared over the years in Rolling Stone, Spin, The Village Voice, GQ and countless other media including The Today Show, The View and The Tonight Show. I was also the subject of a Last Call with Carson Daly documentary piece relating to my comedy portrait work.

ABOUT FUNNY BUSINESS Funny Business is the culmination of photographer Seth Olenick's 7-year journey to photograph the big names and up-and-comers from the last 30 years of comedy. It focuses largely on the faces of the alternative comedy world where two drink minimums do not exist. The book is limited to just 200 copies hand-numbered 1-200, and comes with a screen-printed blue slipcase, also hand-numbered 1-200. Funny Business features 200 portraits over 238 pages, arguably the largest collection of its kind in book form ever (physically as well since it is 11"x13"). The subjects include all the members of The State, the cast of Wet Hot American Summer, "Weird" Al Yankovic, Judd Apatow, Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre, cast members of Community, 30 Rock and Parks & Rec, Human Giant (Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel and Aziz Ansari), Jon Hamm, Elizabeth Banks, A.D. Miles, H. Jon Benjamin, Jonah Ray, Kumail Nanjiani, and a whole lot more. Each photo is paired with a caption written by each subject, adding some context and humor to the photos themselves. The intro to the book is written by standup, and SNL-writing alum, John Mulaney, who is considered by many to be one of the best standups/writers in the business today. Any fan of comedy or photography will want to pick this book up because it features exclusive photos of comedy favorites in situations that are sometimes smart, often funny, and always original. It is a great addition to any coffee table book collection, and it will serve as a great way for the casual comedy fan to discover some new faces that they would not have otherwise known about. In the end, though, it is a love letter from Olenick to the comedy scene that has made him laugh for the last 30 years.
