The Montgomery family loves their Angus cows and they love the cattle business; those truths have not changed. They have developed this cow herd themselves from elite selections and thoughtful management over the years. It is easy to see and understand the type of cows that they enjoy as the themes in their cattle are very consistent. However, due to the success of their other businesses and their children growing and moving away, the days are no longer numerous enough to give this impressive cow herd the time that is deserves.  They are sadly selling all of their cows here and there is a world of opportunity in them!

The Montgomery cattle THRIVE on grass, not just survive. Their cows are based on old school tenants of fleshing ability, efficiency, udder quality, milk flow, disposition, muscle, and fertility. Through the years their bull sales have been strong while all of the best females have been retained. This auction presents the opportunity to access these great females that have never been offered previously.

The cattle may be seen anytime on the farm and trucking will be easy from right off I-90 and with several auctions in the northwest. We hope you enjoy these cows as much as the Montgomery family has. They will be missed.

This Auction has a horse race style finish. Every time someone bids during the last 5 minutes of the auction the clock will extend 5 more minutes until no one bids for an entire 5 minutes.  Please note that this countdown duration may be changed without notice during the auction.

SmartAuctions will invoice all buyers and release the lot after payment is received. A credit/debit card will be required ONLY to verify identity of bidders, but you will not be charged for your purchases on your card UNLESS you specifically choose that option or you have not paid for your purchases prior to 90 days after the auction closes. Your credit card will be charged if payment has not been received within 90 days after purchase or arrangements have not been communicated. If you pay with a card you will be charged a 5% transaction fee. If you pay by check after receiving an invoice via e-mail from SmartAuctions the 5% transaction fee is automatically waived.
