Shane Bieber, in his second start of the 2020 season, made major league history. Bieber not only an American League record with 27 strikeouts in his first two starts, he also tied the MLB record by Karl Spooner of the Brooklyn Dodgers. The man he passed for the American League record was Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan.
