Enjoy an evening at the DuPage Symphony Orchestra at one of these two great performances after dining at Shinto Steakhouse & Sushi lounge. Complete you evening with wine at DoubleTree by Hilton and enjoy Sunday brunch before heading home!

Gateway to Romance on March 21

The DSO's early springtime concert opens with Hector Berlioz's exuberant Festival at the Capulets from his choral symphony Romeo and Juliet and continues with the heart-rendering passion and touching tenderness of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet: A Fantasy Overture. Howard Hanson's Symphony No. 2 in D-flat Major, the so-called Romantic, constitutes the second half of the program.

German Titans on May 16

Yi-Nuo Wang joins the DSO for the second contribution to its Beethoven 250th Celebration, with the Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, a mid-period work that both pays tribute to and transcends its Mozartian model. Gustav Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 1 in D Major, the first of his four symphonies based on melodic material from his own Des Knaben Wunderhorn songs, caps the DSO's final concert of the 2019-2020 season. A massive creation that the composer revised several times over a ten-year period, the so-called Titan Symphony exhibits the salient features of Mahler's developing orchestral style: the union of song and symphony; references to the sounds of Nature; a complex representation of life's struggles; and sensitive harmonies and imaginative orchestration throughout.

Includes: overnight stay for two with Sunday brunch, two tickets to Gateway to Romance on 3/21 or German Titans on 5/16, two $25 Shinto gift cards, two bottles of wine
