Support GW Childs Elementary!
At the heart of every vibrant neighborhood is a thriving school. NICE is dedicated to ensuring that the heart of our neighborhood, GW Childs Elementary, is beating strong.
In June 2020, the community came together to put Project Recess over the top, raising the last funds needed to build GW Childs it's very own rooftop playground! We're hoping to break ground this summer and if schools are open, for Childs students to start using the playground in Fall 2021.
However, the families, students, teachers and staff still need our support. Whether it's with new tools and resources to help students virtually, helping the school transition back to to in-person learning, or socially distance and safe events, NICE is working to support educational equity for GW Childs.
Recently, we provided over $1,500 of microgrants to teachers adjusting to virtual teaching and we're hoping with your support we can continue our support.
